OK....I'm showing off now. Dave this is the big bloody window that lets you see out towards the sea. It is massive and must take an age to clean, and those poor birds, they don't stand a chance!!! On my last morning with Warren, we travelled to the Airport together. I had a slight hangover and was feeling a little rough, not to mention a little annoyed, as I had got my flight times wrong and wasn't leaving for Joberg for another 7 hours !!!! Anyway, I said goodbye to the lovely Warren and I passed the time at the airport very calmly. That would not have been the case when i was younger, it would have driven me mad to stay un occupied for that long !! The joys of getting older...patience! There was much activity at the airport and i was happy to sit and watch the world wander by. A very camp world. They say Cape Town is the gay capital of SA. Maybe so, but I would like to narrow it down a little further...The Airport. Was great to see. So, flew to Johanesburg, was picked up by Heinz and taken to Ghandis backpackers, where Ghandi lived for a short while. Beautiful place with a pool. Walked a little way to get some money and was warned to keep an eye out for undesirables, as in the city, blacks and whites get mugged every day. We were on the out-skirts yet there was definately an atmosphere here. The next morning I spoke to a young fella who had just been mugged not far from where we were staying. I was lucky maybe? It was an early get up, to catch the flight to Daha. On board, I watched a couple of films, in particular, "UP" Was the only adult to be crying at this wonderful Pixar film. Wrapped a jumper around my head to sheild my weepy eyes and just when I thought I had control and it was safe to drop the shield, another story line would smack me in the chops and I'd be off again!!!....good grief....will I ever toughen up?! Just can't cope with story lines of rejection and re-uniting. Wonder why?!! Loved it. Anyway, arrived in Daha and on to the connecting flight to Delhi. Had pre-booked my seat and was not happy to re-issued another seat as I boarded, not happy at all. I stomped up the stairs onto the plane. "You are in business class, sir' said the stewardess. "What!" She said it again and motioned towards the front of the plane. A large grin was becoming uncontrolable as a life long ambition became reality. I reached business class and found my seat, sorry, my bed.......and fell into a blissful sleep, only to be shocked back to reality. India, Delhi. OH MY GOD !!!!!!
