ALI THE MARINE BIOLOGIST

Dave this is a pic of me and Ali who was our main marine biologist. She was an inspiration, so helpful and always keen to answer my questions and there were alot !!! She has worked hard with marine Dynamics and next year gets her own research boat. She is sooo happy !The night before this pic was taken, we went over to a friends for a Braai, where we met Yuka. A lovely fella who has just released an album. So the guitar came out and we all started to sing. And of course I was requested to sing Mamma Mia, only trouble was I couldn't remember the words to the Mamma Mia songs I used to sing, nor the tune!! It was very embarassing and i am sure that most people there doubted if I was ever even in the bloody show, in fact I began to doubt it to ! Rosie the 17 year old, whom I have mentioned before was very shy to sing, however, after a couple of beers, this singer songwriter shocked us all, by singing her own song with a voice so honest it made me well up. She was so shy, yet has such talent. We all spent the rest of the evening in awe and I think she came away feeling much more confident. So lovely to see.
