This picture was taken from the new research boat, that we took out for a spin the other day. The boat is great, firstly because there were no clients and secondly because she is very low to the water, allowing a great vantage point to track the sharks. I would love to spend some more time on her, as the encounters with the sharks were so much more intimate. There were 6 of us on board and we were out on the water for 2 hours, tearing up and down the bay. We followed four Great Whites along the shore line, maybe 50 meters away from the beach, nearly at the same spot I saw a Kite surfer, the week before. We left the sharks and made our way to a pair of mating Whales.
